Let’s talk bathrooms today.
Renovating your bathroom? You have probably been obsessed about what new showerhead or bathtub setup you are going to use, but before you get to all those detailed designs – you should consider the basics first. It’s critical to take into account the space you are working with when designing your bathroom renovation.
Think about it. How many times have you heard of a renovation plan needing to be altered because at the last moment one discovers the door actually can’t close, or the toilet seat is simply too close to the wall or some other installation to be usable. Those kind of situations are extremely unfortunate for everyone involved and should be avoided at all costs. Instead, make sure you take accurate measurements of the room you are working with and make sure to account for alterations to dimensions (such as the needed swing space for doors or cabinets). That way, you won’t have any surprises in the final design.
When you have finally decided on what appliances or sink types to install. We would highly recommend going a little bit above the price range you expect when purchasing some of these items. Let me explain. It’s very hard for you as a novice home renovator to identify exactly what brand is best for your particular application. You can ask the contractor working directly on your space, but unless they come from us at Hammer T Construction, they may not have your best interests at heart and suggest you something that they can simply acquire cheaply (saving them some money out of your invoice). By raising your price levels, you can somewhat ensure you at least get a reasonably quality product instead of risking on the best value.
Think about some of these factors next time you consider a bathroom renovation.
